We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior BAS (Building Automation System) Technician to assist in the monitoring, operation, and basic troubleshooting of HVAC systems through automation platforms. The role supports the seamless performance of critical building systems by helping maintain temperature, humidity, pressure, and energy efficiency parameters via BAS or BMS (Building Management Systems). This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a technical background and a strong interest in controls and automation.
Monitor HVAC equipment performance through BAS dashboards and alarm systems.
Track setpoints and real-time values for temperature, pressure, and humidity in controlled environments.
Assist in identifying operational deviations or alerts and escalate issues as required.
Conduct basic field checks on AHUs, chillers, pumps, valves, dampers, and sensors as per guidance.
Verify sensor calibration, alarm status, and interface issues between field devices and the BAS.
Report discrepancies or unusual readings to senior technicians or engineers.
Assist in maintaining logs for HVAC automation parameters, downtime incidents, and system resets.
Help execute routine testing of sensors, actuators, and BAS input/output points under supervision.
Support preventive tasks such as backup of BAS data and basic system housekeeping.
Record alarm logs, temperature trends, and maintenance actions.
Maintain documentation for HVAC zones, equipment lists, and field device mapping.
Support preparation of compliance reports related to monitored parameters.
Understand cleanroom environmental standards (ISO 14644, GMP, HACCP) as they relate to HVAC controls.
Assist in ensuring that the HVAC systems are supporting pressure cascades, air changes per hour (ACH), and temperature control within critical production zones.
Adhere to electrical safety, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and facility hygiene protocols.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system handling and cleanroom entry, if applicable.
