Job Title: Automotive Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Automotive Mechanic to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, under the guidance of experienced technicians. You will be responsible for basic mechanical tasks, troubleshooting, and learning advanced skills while ensuring high standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs: Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues in vehicles, such as engine performance, brakes, electrical systems, and transmission. Perform routine repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake pad replacements, and fluid changes.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Perform regular maintenance services on vehicles, ensuring all systems are running efficiently. Follow manufacturer guidelines for inspections and recommend repairs or replacements where necessary.
- Parts Replacement & Installation: Assist in replacing parts such as spark plugs, filters, belts, and hoses. Install and repair exhaust systems, suspension components, and other vehicle parts under supervision.
- Tools & Equipment Handling: Learn and use diagnostic tools and equipment safely. Ensure all tools are maintained in good working condition and report any issues with equipment to senior staff.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner when needed. Explain basic repairs and maintenance services and assist in ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record and document all repairs, services, and parts used in a clear and accurate manner. Follow up with senior mechanics to update work logs and maintenance schedules.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and guidelines while performing tasks.
- Learning & Development: Take an active role in learning from senior mechanics, attending training sessions, and developing skills to advance within the automotive field. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and repair techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Enrollment in an automotive technical training program is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required, but a basic understanding of automotive systems or some hands-on experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment is beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Teamwork & Attitude: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification (or willingness to pursue).
- Basic automotive repair certifications or relevant hands-on training.
