The Automation and Control Supervisor for the assembly line is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation systems that support assembly line production. This role supervises a team of technicians to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe automated manufacturing processes.
Supervise and coordinate activities of automation and control technicians on the assembly line.
Monitor and maintain PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other automated control equipment.
Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts to minimize production downtime.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance of automation systems.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and quality standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of system status, maintenance, and incidents.
Provide guidance and training to technicians and operators on automation systems.
Team Supervision:
Lead and manage the automation and control technicians to ensure operational effectiveness.
System Operation & Maintenance:
Ensure reliable operation of assembly line automation systems through timely maintenance and repair.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
Quickly identify and resolve issues affecting automated equipment and processes.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety standards and operational protocols in all activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to support production and quality objectives.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain logs and records of system operations, maintenance activities, and incidents.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in automation and control within manufacturing, preferably in assembly line environments.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot automation equipment and systems effectively.
