Job Summary:

The Junior Automation and Control Supervisor supports the supervision and coordination of automation and control systems on the assembly line. This role assists in ensuring smooth operation, timely troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated equipment to maintain production efficiency and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising daily operations of automated control systems on the assembly line.

  • Monitor PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices to ensure proper functioning.

  • Support troubleshooting and quick resolution of automation and control issues to minimize downtime.

  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational standards on the assembly line.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment status, incidents, and maintenance activities.

  • Assist in training operators and junior technicians on basic automation and control system use.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing assembly line automation.


Key Focus Areas:

  1. Automation System Monitoring:
    Oversee the operational status of automated equipment to ensure consistent production flow.

  2. Troubleshooting Support:
    Assist in identifying and resolving control system issues promptly to reduce production stoppages.

  3. Safety & Compliance:
    Promote adherence to safety standards and operational procedures within the assembly environment.

  4. Collaboration:
    Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support automation functions.

  5. Documentation:
    Maintain logs and reports related to automation performance and maintenance activities.

  6. Training & Development:
    Support skill development for operators and team members on automation systems.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing automation or control systems support.

  • Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, actuators, and assembly line automation.

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and grow in automation and control disciplines.
