We are seeking an experienced and proactive Automation Supervisor for leading the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation and control systems such as PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMIs. The role oversees a team of technicians or junior engineers, ensures control system reliability, and supports production teams through real-time automation support.
Supervise day-to-day activities related to PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems.
Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations for smooth functioning of control systems.
Ensure automation systems meet operational performance, uptime, and safety requirements.
Support automation project implementation from design review to commissioning.
Review control logic, loop diagrams, and system integration documents.
Supervise loop testing, I/O checks, and FAT/SAT activities for control systems.
Lead troubleshooting of PLC/DCS/SCADA malfunctions and ensure timely restoration.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for automation hardware/software.
Ensure system backups, firmware updates, and patches are regularly managed.
Supervise automation technicians, assign tasks, and monitor progress and quality.
Conduct skill assessments and organize technical training for team members.
Ensure adherence to safety practices and standard operating procedures.
Maintain updated documentation: logic diagrams, backups, change logs, and network topologies.
Support compliance with industry standards (ISA, IEC) and company policies.
Participate in audits and assist in preparing technical reports and root cause analyses.
Proficiency in major control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, ABB, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell, etc.).
Hands-on experience in PLC/DCS programming, SCADA configuration, and network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).
Leadership, team coordination, and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
5–10 years of automation/control systems experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in process industries (e.g., oil & gas, pharma, chemical, power) is highly preferred.
Certifications in automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) are advantageous.
Familiarity with control system cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 is a plus.
