We are seeking for a Senior Automation Supervisor who is responsible for leading automation-related activities across multiple process units or project sites. This includes overseeing PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems, managing a team of automation technicians and engineers, ensuring high system reliability, coordinating with vendors, and supporting both maintenance and project execution. The role ensures compliance with industry standards and drives continuous improvement in automation performance.
Supervise operation, maintenance, and optimization of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of automation infrastructure.
Manage automation-related technical escalations and coordinate root cause analysis.
Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs for automation systems.
Manage backups, patching, firmware upgrades, and system lifecycle planning.
Drive obsolescence management and recommend modernization strategies.
Lead automation scope in brownfield/greenfield projects: loop design, PLC logic, HMI graphics, I/O testing.
Review technical documents: FDS, P&ID, logic diagrams, panel layouts, and network architecture.
Supervise FAT/SAT, commissioning, and start-up of control systems.
Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers and technicians.
Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and facilitate technical training sessions.
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
Liaise with operations, process, maintenance, and IT departments for integrated control strategy.
Interface with OEMs and system integrators for troubleshooting, upgrades, or new installations.
Ensure vendor compliance with plant automation and cybersecurity standards.
Maintain complete documentation: loop drawings, logic backups, as-built records.
Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (ISA, IEC, ISO).
Implement and oversee Management of Change (MOC) for all automation updates.
Deep expertise in automation platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Honeywell, ABB, or Emerson DeltaV.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).
Proficient in PLC/DCS programming, HMI/SCADA development, and troubleshooting.
Leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination abilities.
Working knowledge of industrial control cybersecurity and functional safety (preferred).
B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
8–12+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or senior technical role.
Experience in continuous or batch process industries (oil & gas, chemical, pharma, etc.).
Familiarity with ISA standards, IEC 61131-3, and cybersecurity guidelines (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443).
Certifications in automation platforms or project management (e.g., PMP, TÜV FS Eng) are advantageous.
