The Supervisor – Automation Maintenance Technician leads and oversees the daily activities of the automation maintenance team. This role ensures timely and effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated systems to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime. The supervisor also manages work schedules, enforces safety standards, and coordinates with other departments.
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the work of automation maintenance technicians.
Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure effective troubleshooting and repair of PLC-controlled automation equipment.
Oversee commissioning, startup, and modifications of automation systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
Enforce compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
Monitor team performance and support continuous skills development.
Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance tools availability.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline
5+ years experience in automation maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and industrial automation equipment
Proven leadership and team management skills

Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus
