We are seeking a Senior Automation Integration Engineer with a background in Mechatronics to lead the development and deployment of complex automation systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic thinking to drive innovative solutions across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. You will play a key role in project planning, system architecture, integration, and mentoring junior engineers.
Lead the design of integrated mechatronic systems combining mechanical structures, electronics, sensors, and software controls.
Define system specifications, interface requirements, and safety protocols.
Architect and develop advanced PLC logic (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) using structured programming standards.
Build scalable SCADA and HMI platforms for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and control interfaces.
Design and implement robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA) for automated manufacturing and material handling.
Integrate multi-axis servo systems, VFDs, and coordinated motion solutions with real-time feedback control.
Lead integration projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and ensure adherence to best practices.
Oversee on-site installation, system validation, and factory acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
Optimize system performance, minimize cycle times, and ensure long-term reliability.
Ensure solutions meet safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 60204, CE/UL compliance).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, feedback loops, and emerging technologies (e.g., Industry 4.0, IoT).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
7+ years of experience in industrial automation, system integration, or mechatronic system development.
Expert-level proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and motion control technologies.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, wiring standards, and electrical control systems.
Experience with fieldbus protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Modbus, PROFINET, CANopen).
Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and manage project delivery timelines.
Hands-on experience with digital simulation tools (e.g., TwinCAT, MATLAB/Simulink, SolidWorks Motion).
Familiarity with Industrial IoT platforms, cloud-based monitoring, and data analytics.
Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or industrial scripting environments.
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical, automotive, food & beverage).
Six Sigma, PMP, or safety certification (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) is a plus.
