Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title: Asset Integrity Manager (Valves Included)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Integrity Manager to oversee the integrity, reliability, and performance of critical assets—including pressure equipment, piping systems, and valves—across our operations. The ideal candidate will lead integrity programs focused on risk mitigation, compliance, and lifecycle asset management. This role ensures that all fixed equipment and valves are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards through structured inspection, maintenance, and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Integrity Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) covering pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and valves.

  • Apply Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies to prioritize inspection and maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA, local regulations).

Valve Integrity Oversight:

  • Lead the lifecycle management of valves, including isolation, control, and pressure relief valves.

  • Establish valve inspection, testing, and repair standards in line with OEM specifications and API standards (e.g., API 598, 527).

  • Oversee valve diagnostic programs and recommend technology upgrades to improve reliability.

Inspection & Compliance:

  • Schedule and oversee routine and non-routine inspections of pressure equipment and piping systems.

  • Maintain accurate and traceable inspection records in line with jurisdictional requirements.

  • Lead audits, root cause analyses (RCAs), and integrity assessments related to mechanical failures or near misses.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead a team of integrity engineers, inspectors, and technicians responsible for equipment health and compliance.

  • Provide coaching, training, and technical direction to enhance the team’s effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on asset integrity priorities.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Utilize CMMS and integrity management systems to track asset history, inspection results, and failure data.

  • Develop and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment availability, inspection compliance, and valve performance.

  • Recommend and implement improvements based on data-driven insights.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk, improve uptime, and extend asset life through improved integrity strategies.

  • Drive standardization and best practices across sites or facilities.

  • Promote a culture of safety and integrity excellence within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification in asset integrity is a plus.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in asset integrity, inspection, or reliability engineering roles, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial environments.

  • Experience managing the integrity of valves, pressure vessels, and piping systems.

  • Familiarity with RBI software, CMMS platforms, and inspection management tools.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of applicable industry codes and standards (API 510/570/580/581, ASME, ISO, NBIC).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in inspection planning, corrosion assessment, and documentation control.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage contractors/vendors.

Preferred Certifications:

  • API 510 (Pressure Vessels), API 570 (Piping), API 580/581 (RBI)

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

  • OSHA or other safety certifications
