We are looking for a Junior Assembly Technician to support the mechanical assembly of high-precision systems used in aerospace, semiconductor, medical, or scientific equipment. This hands-on role involves assembling components to tight tolerances, following detailed work instructions, and ensuring quality at every step. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to build expertise in a high-tech assembly environment.
Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems using hand tools, torque drivers, fixtures, and jigs.
Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly documentation (BOMs, travelers, SOPs).
Perform precision alignments, torque applications, and fastener installations to specification.
Conduct basic inspections to verify correct assembly (e.g., fit, clearance, and visual quality).
Identify and report assembly issues such as part defects or fitment problems.
Maintain clean and organized work areas; adhere to ESD, FOD, and safety protocols.
Accurately complete assembly documentation, including checklists and part traceability.
Collaborate with quality inspectors and engineers for process feedback and continuous improvement.
Precision Mechanical Assembly: Build systems with tight mechanical tolerances and careful attention to fit and alignment.
Tool Handling & Fastening Techniques: Use of hand tools, torque tools, calipers, and alignment devices per specification.
Clean Assembly Practices: Work in controlled environments following FOD/ESD protocols for sensitive systems.
Documented Assembly: Follow and complete travelers, BOMs, and inspection records accurately and consistently.
Component Familiarity: Exposure to bearings, seals, fasteners, linear guides, bushings, valves, and pneumatic elements.
Problem Identification: Ability to recognize incorrect parts, mechanical interference, or poor fit, and escalate appropriately.
Team Collaboration: Support engineers and senior technicians with testing, builds, and rework tasks.
High school diploma or technical/vocational training in mechanical, manufacturing, or mechatronics (preferred).
0–2 years of mechanical assembly experience, ideally in aerospace, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow technical instructions.
Basic familiarity with hand tools, measurement instruments, and mechanical systems.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Eagerness to learn and take direction from senior staff.
Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
