We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Mid-Level Apprentice Mechanical Technician / Helper to support mechanical maintenance, repair, and installation activities in industrial and field environments. This role is suited for individuals with some technical training and up to 2–3 years of worksite or workshop experience. The position involves assisting senior technicians and engineers while continuing to develop mechanical skills and technical proficiency. It offers a clear pathway toward becoming a certified mechanical technician.
Assist with the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of pumps, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
Support mechanical technicians during routine maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency repairs.
Help in the alignment, bolting, and torqueing of mechanical assemblies.
Use hand tools, measuring devices, and lifting equipment under supervision.
Prepare and organize mechanical parts and tools for job execution.
Participate in testing and quality checks of repaired or serviced equipment.
Record basic maintenance tasks completed and materials used.
Help track tools, consumables, and spares used during jobs.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Actively participate in safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
Hands-on support for mechanical systems and equipment
Growth in technical competence and familiarity with industry tools
Safety-conscious execution of field and workshop tasks
Contribution to team efficiency through tool and part management
ITI, Diploma, or relevant vocational qualification in Mechanical Technology or similar.
Completion of basic mechanical apprenticeship or in-progress certification preferred.
2–3 years of practical experience assisting in mechanical maintenance or field support roles.
Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and use of common mechanical tools.
Working knowledge of valves, pumps, and pipe fittings
Ability to follow technical instructions and standard procedures
Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
Physically capable of working in industrial or outdoor environments
Site safety training (e.g., OSHA, H2S, confined space)
Basic rigging or mechanical tool handling certification is an advantage
