The Mechanical Technician / Engineering Intern at mid-level plays a more independent role in supporting mechanical maintenance, assembly, and testing activities within the automotive sector. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical system optimization, and collaboration with engineering teams to improve vehicle component performance. The technician assists in project execution while continuing to build technical expertise and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on automotive mechanical systems with limited supervision.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical assemblies including engines, transmissions, suspension, and HVAC components.
Support assembly and testing of automotive parts and subsystems, ensuring quality and specification adherence.
Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering evaluations and design improvements.
Collaborate with engineers to implement modifications and validate design changes.
Follow workshop safety standards and ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Document maintenance and test activities accurately for traceability and compliance.
Mentor and guide junior apprentices or interns during day-to-day tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:

Familiarity with automotive components and subsystems
