We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior AHU Supervisor to lead the operations, maintenance, and compliance of air handling systems critical to controlled environments, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics fabrication, or healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of HVAC systems, strong leadership skills, and proven experience ensuring compliance with GMP, ISO 14644, and facility protocols.
This role involves overseeing junior staff, optimizing system performance, managing audits, and driving process improvements to maintain environmental integrity and operational efficiency.
Lead and supervise the operation and maintenance of Air Handling Units (AHUs), ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
Manage and optimize environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure in controlled areas.
Ensure execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for AHU components: filters (pre, fine, HEPA), coils, motors, fans, dampers, and controls.
Oversee and validate filter integrity testing (PAO/DOP tests), airflow balancing, coil cleaning, and vibration analysis.
Analyze data from BMS/BAS systems, identify system trends, and respond to alerts to prevent deviations.
Ensure all maintenance and operational activities are conducted in compliance with GMP, ISO 14644, OSHA, and safety protocols.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and SOPs; ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
Conduct training and performance evaluations for junior technicians and shift supervisors.
Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Validation, and EHS teams for HVAC qualification, cleanroom validation, and energy efficiency projects.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA), deviation investigation, and implementation of CAPA plans.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades or improvements to AHU systems, components, or controls for improved performance or compliance.
Technical Leadership & Team Supervision
Lead multi-shift AHU operations, train and guide technical teams, and ensure proper staffing and knowledge retention.
Regulatory Compliance & Cleanroom Integrity
Maintain classified environments in accordance with GMP, ISO 14644, and other industry-specific standards.
System Performance & Optimization
Drive continuous improvement of AHU operation through energy efficiency, downtime reduction, and proactive maintenance.
Audit & Documentation Readiness
Ensure traceability and compliance through robust documentation, SOP adherence, and audit participation.
Project & Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with cross-functional teams for validation, retrofits, expansions, or facility readiness projects.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience in AHU/HVAC supervision, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
Strong technical knowledge of AHU system design, operations, and maintenance in GMP/cleanroom environments.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and using BMS/BAS platforms.
Familiarity with HVAC qualification, cleanroom validation protocols, and regulatory audits.
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
