  2. Qualification & Certification:
Manage and oversee the qualification, validation, and certification of additive manufactured aerospace components, ensuring full compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA regulations.

  3. Material & Process Characterization:
Direct advanced material analysis, mechanical testing, microstructural evaluation, and failure investigations to optimize material performance and process reliability.

  4. Quality Assurance Leadership:
Develop and implement robust quality control measures, lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within additive manufacturing operations.

  5. Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and innovation culture within the team.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with design, production, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to integrate additive manufacturing seamlessly into the aerospace component manufacturing lifecycle.

  7. Project & Stakeholder Management:
Oversee high-impact projects, manage resources effectively, and communicate progress and risks to senior management and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of additive manufacturing processes for aerospace components.

  • Ensure aerospace parts meet mechanical, thermal, and regulatory performance standards through rigorous testing and validation.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives for additive manufacturing technologies.

  • Manage supplier development and qualification processes related to AM materials and equipment.

  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Represent the company in industry collaborations and regulatory forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in additive manufacturing within aerospace or similarly regulated industries.

  • Expert knowledge of additive manufacturing processes (SLM, DMLS, EBM, Binder Jetting) and aerospace materials.

  • Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

  • Experience with aerospace quality systems (AS9100, NADCAP) and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in CAD, CAE, and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) software tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
