Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of accountants. This role is essential in supporting financial reporting, audit readiness, and operational efficiency across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with IFRS/GAAP standards

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

  • Guide and mentor the accounting team to ensure high levels of performance and development

  • Liaise with other departments to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives

  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is preferred

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
