We are seeking a motivated Junior Valve Compliance Engineer to assist in ensuring that water treatment valves meet applicable ASME and API codes and standards. This entry-level role involves supporting compliance documentation, assisting with inspections, and learning regulatory requirements to help maintain valve quality and safety.
Compliance Documentation & Support
Assist in preparing and reviewing valve design and manufacturing documentation to verify compliance with ASME (Section VIII, B31.1) and API (e.g., API 600, 609) standards.
Support the development and maintenance of compliance records including material certificates, inspection reports, and test documentation.
Help maintain the valve compliance database and update status reports.
Inspection & Quality Assurance Assistance
Participate in valve inspections and audits, both internally and at supplier facilities.
Support NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) reviews and coordinate with QA/QC teams for verification of valve integrity.
Assist with review of welding procedures and material traceability.
Standards & Regulatory Learning
Study ASME, API, and relevant water treatment standards and codes related to valve design, fabrication, and testing.
Attend training sessions and workshops on regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
Keep updated on changes in industry codes that affect valve compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with mechanical design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to support compliance requirements.
Assist in addressing compliance issues or non-conformances identified during inspections or audits.
Coordinate with vendors and external inspection agencies as required.
Understanding and applying ASME and API valve codes

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Familiarity with mechanical components and pressure vessel codes preferred
Experience:
0–2 years in quality assurance, compliance, or engineering support roles (internships or co-ops acceptable)
Exposure to ASME or API standards is a plus but not required
Skills:

Willingness to learn regulatory standards and compliance processes
Basic proficiency with MS Office and document management systems
