We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Engine Test Technician to support our Turbine Performance Validation programs. You will play a hands-on role in the setup, execution, and troubleshooting of gas turbine engine tests, ensuring data integrity and safe, efficient operations. This position is ideal for technicians with a strong mechanical background and experience in engine or turbine test environments.
Prepare and install engines and associated systems in test cells for validation runs.
Install and validate instrumentation (pressure sensors, thermocouples, flow meters) for accurate data collection.
Operate engine test rigs under guidance from test engineers and ensure adherence to test plans.
Monitor and adjust test conditions in real-time based on engine performance and data feedback.
Troubleshoot mechanical and instrumentation issues during test campaigns to minimize downtime.
Conduct system checks, calibrations, and equipment maintenance to ensure readiness and compliance.
Assist in root cause analysis for test anomalies and contribute to technical reports.
Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams for efficient test execution.
Turbine Engine Testing Execution
Hands-on operation of engine test cells for performance validation of gas turbines under controlled conditions.
Instrumentation & Data Acquisition
Installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors for temperature, pressure, vibration, and flow measurement.
Mechanical Systems & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair mechanical, fuel, air, and oil systems on turbine engines and test setups.
Test Cell Readiness & Maintenance
Ensure test cells and support systems (cooling, fuel delivery, exhaust handling) are operational and safe.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
Follow established procedures for test execution, safety, and documentation of test results and anomalies.
Diploma or associate degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
3–5 years of experience in engine or turbine test environments.
Solid understanding of gas turbine components and operational principles.
Proficient in the use of DAQ and control systems (e.g., LabVIEW, NI, or OEM test software).
Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with assembly and fitting of engine components.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to work rotating shifts and respond to off-hour test support as needed.
Experience with gas turbines used in aerospace, marine, or power generation applications.
Familiarity with industry test standards (ASME PTC, ISO 2314, MIL-STD, etc.).
Certification in safety practices (e.g., LOTO, confined space, HAZMAT) is a plus.
Exposure to test automation systems and control logic.
