    • Work with engineering and QA teams to compile materials certifications, pressure test data, and inspection results required for certification packages.

    • Participate in product audits, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and classification society inspections.

    • Research and interpret applicable standards and rules (e.g., ABS Rules for Building and Classing Marine Vessels, USCG CFRs, ASME codes).

    • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and support the update of internal documentation to reflect new standards.

    • Communicate with third-party inspectors, customers, and regulatory agencies as needed under the supervision of senior engineers.

    • Assist in internal compliance reviews, nonconformance tracking, and corrective action processes.

Key Focus Areas:

    • ABS/USCG Valve Compliance: Ensure valves conform to relevant marine classification and government standards.

    • Documentation and Records: Maintain clear and traceable documentation for testing, inspections, and certification efforts.

    • Support for Certification Testing: Assist with pressure testing, dimensional inspection, and NDT processes needed for product approval.

    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with engineering, QA, and manufacturing to support compliance goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

    • 0–2 years of experience in engineering, compliance, marine systems, or QA (internship/co-op experience acceptable).

    • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and pressure-retaining components such as valves and piping.

    • Familiarity with engineering drawings, material certifications, and quality documentation.

    • Knowledge of or interest in regulatory bodies such as ABS, USCG, DNV, or IMO is a plus.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills & Tools:

    • Exposure to marine codes (e.g., ASME B31.1/B31.3, API, ASTM standards).

    • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and CAD/PLM systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Willingness to work in office, production, and inspection environments.
